3.7 I was wondering how to determine how much memory we have on our system.

Either Glance from HP or SOS from Lund will show the amount of system memory.

If you own neither of these products, then either

sysinfo.prvxl.telesup

or

SYSMAP under SYSDIAG

can do the job.

However, both come with warnings. SYSINFO has been known to cause system aborts if "ALL" or "MEM" is specified on heavily loaded systems and, therefore should only be used during "quiet" or "safe" periods. Both SYSINFO and SYSDIAG can disrupt mirroring in a Mirror/iX environment. If you specify "confirm off" in SYSMAP under SYSDIAG you should be safe. The commands are:

sysdiag

run sysmap

confirm off

suppress on

mapall

exit

exit
