9.8 Is it possible to have one MPE spooler device class name associated with multiple printers? For instance, I want to spread the $STDLIST load over two printers.
In the case of network printers, use SYSGEN or IOCONFIG to add a device class, say DUALLP, to each of the printers that you want to share printing duties. As long as your output is directed to DUALLP the first available printer will start printing that output. No changes are needed in the NPCONFIG file, assuming both printers are already defined.
In the case of DTC printers, add DUALLP to each printer's profile, or use the same profile for both printers.
