(WELCOME TO SYS1) ** Local system's welcome message **

The SHOWME command reports information pertaining to your
job or session. Using the example above, the following
     information is given.

ITEM MEANING

#S485 This is the session number. It may also be a job
                    number.

(NOT IN BREAK) An (IN PROGRAM), (IN BREAK), or (NOT IN BREAK)
message to indicate whether SHOWME was executed
programmatically, in BREAK, or directly from the MPE
                    XL Command Interpreter.

HP31900 A.11.70 The PRODUCT V.UU.FF immediately follows the product
number HP31900. It is determined by Hewlett-Packard
when a new version of the MPE/iX operating system is
compiled. This V.UU.FF number cannot be changed.
Use it when you enter a service request (SR) against
the MPE/iX operating system product for that
                    particular release.

RELEASE V.UU.FF The identity of the release for your system as
                    established by Hewlett-Packard. Before release
A.11.70, this was referred to as the "BASE."

USER VERSION This can be set in a SYSGEN. This permits the
v.uu.ff user to identify any changes to the software package
(patch levels, third party software, etc.). Any
                    printable ASCII characters are accepted.

CURRENT Shows the current date and time.

LOGON Shows the logon date and time.

CPU SECONDS Shows the Central Processor Time (CPU) used by this
                    job/session.

SHOWME calculates CPU usage by adding the
local CPU usage of the current process to the
                    accumulated total of all terminated
processes. The CPU usage listed for a
                    programmatic SHOWME, therefore, would rarely
agree with that for a SHOWME executed during
                    BREAK.

CONNECT MINUTES The amount of time the job/session has been
                    connected.

$STDIN LDEV The logical device number of the job or session's
                    standard input device.

$STDLIST LDEV The standard list device number.

This command may be issued from a session, job, in BREAK, or
from a program. Pressing [Break] aborts the execution of
     this command.
